New Mobile Scrap Shear REFLEX

After the new range of mobile scrap shears called REFLEX was launched by COPEX in autumn 2013, the first unit in version 900 t and 7 m box was installed on CFM Industrie site in Brive-la-Gaillarde (France), to the entire satisfaction of the customer.

COPEX decided to integrate in the range of mobile scrap shears the same technologies as for the "heavy" scrap shears with side compression LIDEX. This had never been done before on mobile scrap shears:

  • The REFLEX is the only machine in the market which offers a slide block guiding similar to a stationary machine in order to provide high cutting performances over time with maintenance costs divided by 3,

  • The perfectly balanced distribution of the cutting efforts considerably increased the reliability of the shear frame.

A special attention was focused on the user-friendly operation through the significant reduction of operational noise (superior sound-proofing technologies, acoustic panels) and easy access to the parts and control elements (large openable panels, platform).

The REFLEX is available in 500t, 650t and 900t cutting force. Achieving excellent cutting performances, the machine is also perfectly suitable for the production of high quality bales. The REFLEX scrap shear can be delivered in mobile version with 3, 4 or 6 axles, or as semi-mobile with optional hydraulic legs.

With this new scrap shear, COPEX confirms his capability to imagine innovative solutions for the recycling industry.
