A new scrap shear LIDEX1000t started at GLJ Recycling, one of the leading waste management and recycling companies in Newport, Great Britain

GLJ Recycling was formed by Gareth Jones in 2007. Gareth’s family has been in the recycling industry for three generations. The core business of this company is the recycling of scrap metal.

« As a very ambitious businessman, Gareth Jones wished to replace the two scrap shears he had from a competitor by a higher-performance machine to pursue the development of his company », comments Nicolas Bourbey, Sales Manager at Copex. « Before taking his final decision in favour of the Lidex, he visited two British sites where Lidex scrap shears with side compression are being operated: Ballyvesey Recycling Solutions Ltd in Newtownabbey and Rooney Metals in Cookstown ».

« I want the state-of-the-art recycling equipment, I am striving for excellence and innovation in order to develop, grow and improve the reputation of my company. What I like in the Lidex is their extreme rapidity through the complete automatic cycle, and how powerful they are », precises Gareth Jones. « The machine I bought has a 1000 tons cutting force, an 8 long box and electric power of 4 x 110 kW. With this new machine, I will work more safely and effectively and provide the best possible service to my customers ».

« The partnership we have recently concluded with JMC Recycling Systems Ltd for the sales of our products will help us reinforce our position on the other side of the Channel, where Copex machines were always benefiting from a very good reputation », adds Frédéric Malin, Chairman of Copex.
