The French recycling company Société des Ferrailles de l’Essone (SFE) renewed his trust in COPEX and purchased a scrap shear Lidex 800 t

COPEX has just started the new SFE scrap shear with side compression Lidex 800 t in Etampes (in Paris area). The company was already owning a Copex machine, and reaffirmed with this new Lidex the fidelity showed to Copex.

On the past 20th of August, the new scrap shear with side compression was successfully commissioned at Copex plant in Caudan (Western France). Today the machine is processing scrap materials every day at Etampes site.

SFE, a family business founded in 1970 and managed by the second generation, was already owning a Copex scrap shear. The director of the company, Jérôme Charbonnel, is enthusiastic about his new machine: « when I saw a Lidex working at the site of my business colleague Metalufer in Perray en Yvelines (78), I immediately was seduced by this machine, and was convinced that it was exactly what I needed. The complete automatic cycle as well as the compacting and shearing rapidity have convinced me. About Copex quality, I know exactly what it is all about and I knew that the machine would be the right one as I had been using a Copex scrap shear with side compression type CVB of previous generation for many years ». 

While Metalufer opted for a Lidex 1000t (box of 8 x 2 m, 4 x 110 kW), it appeared that the Lidex in 800 tons cutting force was the best fit solution for the business of SFE (6 m long box, 800 mm cutting width and 3 x 110 kW).

« The Lidex 800, is the entry-level model of Lidex (also available with 1000, 1300 and 1700 tons cutting force), and optimally meets the performance and flexibility exigencies medium-sized scrap yards might have, comments Frédéric Malin, Chairman of Copex. With this machine, our customer is primarily aiming at limiting torch cutting operations of big chassis and other big welded structures ».
