COPEX balers with lid: An unequalled compacting efficiency

The baling presses with lid are perfectly versatile machines. They are ideal to process bulky and heterogeneous materials. Those machines benefit from 65 years of experience in the design of machines to compact solid waste, have many advantages:

  • Feeding with scrap is very easy as the lid covers the upper part of the compression box,
  • Innovative design of the lid, placed in opposition to the first compression ram, for an extremely efficient compacting automatic cycle
  • The first compression ram is equipped with an independent guiding system and brings the material into the zone where the lid had the highest force, which contributes to further reduction of cycle times
  • The operator is no longer required for compacting operations, and has free time to carry out other running operations
  • Wear and tear are reduced as shearing blades are not required anymore.

COPEX balers with shearing ram : Optimal quality of bales

The balers type P2CV et P3CV allow a continuous feeding of materials during the compacting cycle. Shearing blades cut any scrap protruding during the first horizontal compression step: the height of the bales is perfectly calibrated.

The adjustment system of blade in height, ensures minimization of gap between the blades and provides a perfect shearing performance and the high quality of the finished bales.

Description

The P2C and P3C baling presses are used to compact all types of metal waste into high density bales conforming to the requirements of steel making plants and foundries

The scrap metal balers with double and triple compression have automatic operating cycle and continuous feeding by means of a grab or a conveyor. COPEX baling presses provide the optimal solution for the professionals of industries and scrap metal recycling.

The balers with double compression (P2C) and triple compression (P3C) can be installed indoor and outdoor and do not require any specific foundations. 

COPEX proposes for his entire range models with shearing blades (P2CV and P3CV) and lid (P2CC and P3CC) to cover all possible applications.

Operation safety:

All dangerous areas are protected by means of fences in compliance with the current safety rules and regulations. The protection zones shall be defined to make cleaning and maintenance operations easier. They shall have one access door controlled by an approved safety switch. All emergency stops push-buttons shall be brought together on the safety module installed on the electrical switch cabinet of the baler. Any using of an emergency push-button will stop immediately all equipments of the baling station. The control desk integrates a safety key.

Efficient hydraulics:

  • Excellent production rates are achieved by the combination of various movements
  • Increased speed of movements though oil transfer between cylinders with no additional input of energy
  • Improved cycle times through the use of high pressure pumps of a new generation
  • Large reduction of electrical consumptions thanks to the proportional design of the hydraulic pumps
